Clean Up

Just thinking it is very hard to read my previous blog entries on this blog as the breaks between the entries are not clear and it looks like a huge mess. I like the new layout better as it just clearly defined each entry and the color looks good too.

Hope you like the new layout as much as I do!

Smart Bins

I wish our government will be more pro-environment than politics. And being green rule! just look at Australian politics.

Anyhow, in the US, there is such a thing call smart bins, it will notify the authorities when you are not recycling..hmm sounds like a deterrent quite well known in our state city. Anyway I kept digressing hehe so back to the topic.

How these smart bins work is they will monitor how often the residents take their recycling bin out to be collected. If they are not bringing the bins out enough, someone (God knows who, the Environmental Police maybe) will come look through your regular garbage bin and if they smell a rat (not rat rat, but if there are more than 10% recyclable items in your garbage bin), you will be fined! Brillant idea!

So next time, remember to bin the right stuff in the right bin!

Pee in your drink!

Some genius invented this beer collected from pee of diabetic patients...hmmm pee? yucks! diabetic? yucks! But you can't help wonder at his idea...after all who in the world started the NeWater project first? And he got a better name call Pissky, go google it and check it out for yourself.

And I bet it just taste like beer just like how the NeWater taste like water but drink at your own risk haha.

Underwater World

One of the websites that I surfed everyday is Planet Green by Discovery Channel, of course except on the weekends.

Saw this article there mentioning countries that will go underwater if global warming continues on.

Take a look at the article.
In my mind, there is one country missing - Singapore. Why not? With the recent tropical rains and the flooding, it is very apparent that our foundation is weak and we are surrounded by the sea so why not?

Preserve Toothbrush

What a fancy idea! Making toothbrush out of used yoghurt containers and guess what? After you have used it, you can mail it back to the manufacturer who will recycle the toothbrush into something else, never ending cycle of being green.

Bike Box

It is not often that bike riders get more priority than drivers.

But it does happened in San Francisco, they even get a bike box where bikers can ride off first when the light turns green.
It is also a fabulous idea to encourage residents to be green and ride rather than drive.
